Tip 1: Buy fruit and veggies that are in season. They are cheaper and tastier than buying fruit that has been grown outside its ideal conditions or shipped from far away. Seasonal fruit is usually on sale when in season to help you save and eat well.

Tip 2: Don’t get bored—Change it up. You can save by buying seasonal fruit, but it can get boring drinking the same flavors every day. Just by changing the juice to milk or adding a little coconut or cocoa protein power, you create a whole new smoothie with those seasonal berries or peaches.

Tip 3: Want mango in the winter? Freeze your produce. It is actually creates better smoothie consistency to add frozen fruit to a smoothie. So load up on strawberries on sale during the spring and enjoy them affordably all summer.


Fall:  Pineapple Mango Creamsicle 

  • 1 cup pineapple
  • 1 mango, peeled
  • ½ banana
  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt
  • ⅓ cup milk (or more if needed)
  • 5-8f ice cubes, if needed

Winter: Citrus Greens

  • 1 grapefruit, peel and remove seeds
  • 1 orange, peeled and remove seeds
  • 1 banana, peeled and pitted
  • 2 cups fresh kale
  • 4-6 ounces of coconut water
  • 5-8 ice cubes, if needed

Spring: Strawberry-Colada

  • 1 cup strawberries (frozen are better)
  • 1 banana
  • 2 tbsp. shredded coconut
  • 5-8 ice cubes
  • 1 cup milk

Summer: Super Peach Blueberry 

  • 1 cup coconut milk or orange juice
  • 1 ½ peaches, sliced
  • 1 ½  cup blueberries
  • 5-8 ice cubes, if needed
  • 2 tbsp. chia seed (optional)
